Domain Names ~ Why you should not purchase hosting to get a free domain name

I’ve been reading about the registration of domain names and some of the problems that can occur.
In particular, the practice of purchasing hosting and getting your domain name “free” in that package. For years I’ve heard that was not a smart idea, but lacked understand why. Dave Zan (Domain Name Blog) blogged about it not long ago. Definitely worth a read.

    Thanks, Barbara! :)

The reality is many people aren’t aware of this. I know I won’t be able to “save” everyone, but I hope as many people as possible do become aware of this so they’ll know what to expect.

    Anyway, thanks again!
