I’ll Have What She’s Having!
Three Powerful Action Steps that will turn your Potential Clients into Paying Clients!
by Angel C. Hale

What if every time you entered a room people would say, “Wow, I want what she’s having!” Do you think that might generate new clientele for your business? You bet it would! It’s called attraction and it is the most powerful tool in your business-growing toolkit. Heck, it’s one of the most powerful tools in your life!

I want to be sure to clarify here…they aren’t thinking, “Boy I want what she’s selling,” they’re thinking, “I want what she’s having!” You see, we are attracted to those people who exude a life, an attitude, and a spirit that reflects what we want for ourselves. We want to be with and work with people who inspire, challenge or support us in our personal journey. I buy things I “need” wherever it is most convenient for me and where I can trust in the quality of both customer service and products/services. However, I buy what I “want” from people and businesses who I can get excited about. I love telling my friends, family and clients about these people and businesses because I love what they add to my life. I love the unique services/ products and/or inspiration they provide me. Me, Me, Me!!! Catch a theme there? Yep, clients seek us out because of what we have to offer that can make “their life” better.

So how do we get people to say those magical words, “I’ll have what she’s having?”

It’s pretty simple and I’ll break it into manageable chunks over the next few days - so tune in tomorrow for your next installment!!!

==========
Arm Pads Give Relief to Computer Pain
Jennifer Warner

April 21, 2006 — Resting your forearms on supportive arm boards or pads may take some of the aches and pains out of working at a computer every day.A new study suggests that providing forearm support can significantly reduce neck and shoulder pain as well as hand, wrist, and forearm pain associated with computer use.

“Based on these outcomes, employers should consider providing employees who use computers with appropriate forearm support,” says researcher David Rempel, MD, MPH, director of the ergonomics program at San Francisco General Hospital, in a news release.

How to Be a Sucess Right Now!

Everyone had their own definition of success and what it means to you. Take a look at one woman’s view. Feel free to leave your comments about your own ideas of success on the blog.

Is success only defined by having money and all of the luxuries that rich people have? Lots of people with the most money, have done nothing but be born in to the ‘right’ family. Does this mean they are a success? I don’t think so.

What does success mean to you? Does it mean doing something that you want to do and doing it well? I think this is closer to how I would define success. Success is achievement.

I believe that to feel successful, we have to be happy with what we are doing, and we have to achieve the dreams and goals that we have, whatever they are. Achieving something can produce a feeling of satisfaction and self esteem.

Even someone who only wants to bake a cake can feel enormously gratified just to see their finished creation. In some cases, this can mean as little as the fact that the cake did not burn, is not lopsided, and did not fall apart coming out of the pan. It doesn’t have to be featured in a gourmet magazine to give us this feeling of victory. Naturally, if the recipients of our creation, in this case our cake, enjoy it and appreciate our efforts, this is the grandest part of our success.

Another definition of success to me would be in our interactions with others. It can be as small as a smile that brightens another person’s day. Naturally, if that person had been lonely or feeling dejected, the pay back is even greater when you sense their gratitude. You probably didn’t put on your coat and say, today, I will succeed at making someone’s day better by being nice.

However, you know it when it happens, and it will really register, especially if you have ever been lonely and know what
it feels like. This funny little thing we humans do, but not enough, is just turn up the corners of your mouth and mean it,
whenever you cross paths with anyone! This gives you a nice little high for a minute. Without even trying very hard, you can feel and be a successful human being.

This is also important from a business standpoint. Be friendly and genuine. Of course, online we can’t smile in the usual way, but we can still add some sunshine to our communications. There is just something about being friendly and genuine that says so much more about us and our business than officious, cold communications-’To whom it may concern’. Feel the difference: “Dilbert, we received…” and “Hi, Dilbert, we received…”.

If we take a split second to say ‘hi’, or ‘how are you doing today?’ it speaks volumes about us being a person, and not a
robot. This will break the ice in a way that can only benefit you, because right there you have established a commonality - and begun to build relationship — person to person!

Garage Sale Advertising - How To Get Tons Of Customers For Nearly Free

Nope, this is not about online marketing. It is however about a holding garage sales, something that many of you do. And, at least in my neck of the woods, the season is here! In fact, this weekend is one of the largest organized sales that spans 30 miles along the beach.

Are you ready for your next sale?

——————–

Garage Sale Advertising - How To Get Tons Of Customers For Nearly Free

by Helen Walters

One of the biggest mistakes people make when holding a garage sale is not advertising enough. Most people think that it is enough to put a single ad in the local paper one week before the sale. Usually these people are too worried that they will
lose money on their sale because the ad costs too much. That is nonsense.

When you don’t advertise much, you don’t get many customers. When you don’t get many customers, you have to sell at their price, because if you don’t, there is no other customer looking to buy that item. However, if you have a lot of customers looking at the same items, you can set the price and not need to haggle because you know that there is already another person wanting to pay for it. The more you advertise, the more customers you get, and the more you are in charge.

Most people don’t bother to use flyers very much anymore. Perhaps they think they are too busy to put them out, or that
they won’t work. However flyers are not that difficult to use effectively. When done right they can bring tons of people into your sales. You just need to keep in mind that while places with bulletin boards set up for flyers and such get a lot of traffic they also get a lot of ‘flyer competition’.

This means that your garage sale flyer MUST STAND OUT and CATCH PEOPLE’S ATTENTION or it will simply be lost in a sea of paper! So, use bright paper, and a LARGE BOLD HEADLINE that gets attention by being different. Then let the rest of the flyer give the details of your sale. Let me say that a little differently: you need to use a headline that causes people to stop and read your flyer.

This does not mean you need to be wildly promotional or crazy with your headlines. But if there are 19 flyers on the board
that say “Garage Sale on Saturday”, and your’s is the same, it just won’t be read. However if your flyer says something
different it will attract more attention. So try something like the following instead:

- We’ve Got What You Need for your garden at 90% off new prices

- Huge Discounts On all Home Products this Saturday

Then all you need to do is print them up and put them in your car and ask if you can post one at every store you visit during your weeks chores. No extra work is involved at all. Take these ideas and run with them and your next garage sale will be on its way to a resounding success.
