I’ve been quiet since late spring, early summer - but not idle. I’ve been deeply involved in getting a health care practice up and running. We opened August 1st and I’ve not yet stop.
My community - small if compared to Seattle, but large if compared to Tokeland - was and is still short of about 8-10 primary care providers (that is the estimate by our local hospital CEO). I was working part time in a practice not far from my home. And while it was a great commute (less than 5 minutes!) it was far less than what I considered an ideal practice situation.

More and more we are seeing women in business making news. Often they are seasoned CEO’s, entrepreneurs and even small business owners. In a positive move…here is some information on teenagers who are getting a taste of business.

Female teens are showing interest in starting their own businesses. Programs to help them are sprouting, with participants studying ways to turn shopping, fashion and teaching into income opportunities.
(WOMENSENEWS)–Katelyn Benhoff is a 17-year-old with a passion for shopping.
She is also an entrepreneur with a sense of the people who could use a shopping enthusiast like her: busy mothers, elderly people and people who simply do not have the time to run their errands.
