On another blog, I was told my website was beautiful and asked if I did it myself.

While I’d love to say “of course”, truth be told, it’s actually a wordpress blog, using a free out of the box theme. I had not even changed out the head yet on that one.

I started my blogging on Blogger like many folks. For me, it was a good place to start learning about blogging without getting into the idea of having to host my blog and all that goes with it. That was of course, before www.wordpress.com was available.

But when I found wordpress.org and learned all that I could do with it, I was hooked. The wordpress community is fantastic, the support forums are helpful, and sheer numbers of free themes you can apply to your blog is nearly overwhelming.
