Business need to prepare for illness

What a novel idea! Sorry if I am being sarcastic, but this is something I’ve been saying for a long time. If you are sick, please stay home instead of sharing your viruses with others. This is especially true when you work in health care - the people you expose your viruses too often already have a weakened immune system. Instead what happens often happens is ones misplaced sense of duty kicks in and we must go to work, OR the boss says that you must come in.

While Washington is warning businesses that they need to prepare for bird flu, perhaps they should remind businesses that employees need to stay home with any contagious virus.

WASHINGTON - Businesses need to plan on having 40 percent of their workforces out if a flu pandemic strikes and need to start rewarding employees for staying home when they are sick, government advisers told a conference Tuesday. You can read the full article here.
